This year Susan had the thought that it would be nice to visit some assisted living facilities on this Christmas eve and do a little old fashioned caroling. At supper time on Christmas eve a small group of us went down to the Sterling House and Covenant Place. We had a great time as Susan and Eileen sang songs of the season and went from table to table visiting. George and I gave away candy canes and visited as well. As the sweet ladies and gentlemen sang along with us, there was true joy on their faces, but not as much joy as we received from them! What a blessing! The Help Out Guys plan to make this an annual event, because it was so special. Many of our friends had not, and were not going to have family visits, we were told. So, we added to our "family". How blessed we are to be able to give our time, love and attention. Let's all try to make it a plan to do more this coming year to spread God's love!
